Best Non-VoIP Number Services in 2026: An Honest Comparison

Search for a non-VoIP number and you’ll find dozens of services that all promise real SIM cards. They differ a lot in the countries they cover, how long you can keep a number, how you pay, and what happens when the code never comes.
We run one of these services, PVADeals, so we’re not neutral. This comparison sticks to what each service says on its own website, checked on 27 October 2026, and it says where another service is the better fit.
What to look for in a non-VoIP number service
- Real carrier numbers. Many websites check whether a number is VoIP before they send a code. A non-VoIP number is a real mobile line, so it gets through more often. See VoIP vs non-VoIP numbers.
- Rentals you can keep. A 20-minute number is fine for one code, but many websites text you again when you log in or recover the account. Look for rentals of days or months.
- The countries you need. Some services cover one country, some claim 200.
- Payment you can use. Cards, crypto or both.
- What happens when no SMS arrives. Automatic credit, a refund on request, or nothing.

The services, one by one
PVADeals
Real non-VoIP numbers in six countries. In the US and UK you choose the website and rent a number for 20 minutes (from $0.09) or 3 to 30 days (from $0.70), renewable for as long as you need. Australia rents 20-minute numbers from $0.20. All six countries offer an All services plan: one number for any website, from $6.99 a month in the UK. You pay with crypto from $3 or a card through Stripe from $5, and if an eligible number receives no SMS, its cost comes back as store credit automatically. There’s an API, an MCP server for AI agents and an Android app.
Not the best fit if you need a country we don’t cover: we sell six.
TextVerified
A US-only service that says each number “has a physical SIM card”. You pay per verification and only when a code arrives: on 27 October 2026, US WhatsApp cost $1.50 and Google $0.75. Rentals run from 1 day to 1 year with auto-renew. It takes cards through Stripe and several cryptocurrencies, and has an API and a Chrome extension.
Not the best fit if you need a number outside the US.
Non-VoIP.com
Real-SIM numbers in a growing list of countries (13 for WhatsApp), from $0.10 per verification. Its help center says the longest a number lasts is 20 minutes, so there are no long-term rentals. It takes crypto only (“We do not accept cards”), refunds unused verifications to your balance automatically, needs no ID, and has an API and an Android app.
Not the best fit if you want to pay by card or keep a number.
PVAPins
Advertises non-VoIP numbers “sourced from real cellular carriers” in 200+ countries, with rentals of 1, 3, 7 or 30 days in 39 of them. Prices vary a lot by service: US WhatsApp started at $3.65 per activation and $16 for a 1-day rental. It takes cards, Apple Pay, crypto and many local wallets. Its refund policy asks for claims within 48 hours and refunds as balance you can’t withdraw.
Not the best fit if you want low US prices.
SMSPVA
Sells both VoIP numbers and real SIM cards in 60+ countries, with rentals for days, weeks or months. If you need non-VoIP, choose its physical SIM numbers. US WhatsApp started at $0.65. Its policy says there’s no refund once a number is activated, missing-SMS claims must reach support within 7 days, and balances can’t be withdrawn.
Not the best fit if you want automatic credit when a code doesn’t come.
HeroSMS
Covers 180+ countries and lists physical and virtual numbers separately, so pick physical ones for non-VoIP. It runs on technology from SMS-Activate, which closed in December 2025 (see SMS-Activate alternatives), but describes itself as an independent company. Activations are refunded automatically if no code arrives within 20 minutes, rentals are offered, and top-ups are in crypto.
Not the best fit if you want rental lengths and prices you can see before signing up.
Which non-VoIP number service should you choose?
- US or UK numbers you can keep for weeks or months: PVADeals (US and UK), or TextVerified for the US.
- Paying by card: PVADeals, TextVerified or PVAPins.
- Many countries: PVAPins, SMSPVA or HeroSMS, picking their physical-SIM numbers.
- Crypto-only, one code at a time: Non-VoIP.com.
Whichever you choose, check the number before you rely on it: a free carrier lookup shows whether it’s really a mobile line. And for an account you want to keep, rent the number long-term or move the account to a number you’ll keep, because many websites text the same number again later.
