Freecash Phone Verification: How It Works

Freecash phone verification is one of the checks Freecash can run before it pays you. Its terms say it may verify your identity before crediting or redeeming rewards, including “by requiring you to verify the mobile phone number associated with your Account”. The same terms rule out fake SMS numbers, Google Voice and VoIP.
This guide explains when Freecash checks your number, which numbers to use, the one-account rule, and how phone checks fit with ID verification.
When does Freecash ask for phone verification?
Freecash says it may verify you “whether in connection with your first payout or as part of routine or targeted account reviews we may conduct from time to time.” Its help center adds: “We ask users to verify their accounts at Freecash before withdrawing to ensure the security and integrity of the platform.”
Phone verification is one of three checks you may meet:
| Check | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Phone verification | Confirming the mobile number on your account |
| ID verification | A photo of your government-issued ID and a selfie, through Veriff |
| Login codes (2FA) | A 6-digit code sent to your email, not your phone |
Which phone numbers Freecash accepts
The rule is in Freecash’s terms of service: you “will not use fake SMS numbers, Google Voice or VOIP when verifying your phone number.” The same section bans VPNs, proxies and emulators.
Freecash doesn’t define a fake SMS number, so the safe choice is a real mobile number that’s yours to keep. A non-VoIP number from PVADeals is a real mobile line from a carrier, but Freecash decides which numbers it accepts.
Freecash also checks “that users are at least 16 years old and from the region they claim”, so pick a number from the country you really live in.
One account per person and per household
Freecash’s terms say: “Participation on the Website is limited to only one (1) account per person and only (1) account per household.” The reason, in its help center: “it makes it far easier for us to prevent fraud.” Freecash names multiple accounts, VPNs and failed ID verification among its reasons for bans.
A second phone number never changes this: one person, one household, one account.
Using a second number for Freecash
If you’d rather not give Freecash your personal number, use a second number you keep, on your one account:
- Create a free PVADeals account and add credits: crypto from $3, or a card through Stripe from $5.
- Choose Freecash from the list of websites and the country you live in. If it isn’t listed for your country, rent an All services number instead, which works on any website.
- Rent long-term (3, 7, 14 or 30 days) and turn on auto-renew. A 20-minute number is the wrong tool, because Freecash can check your number again in later account reviews.
- Enter the number when Freecash asks, then copy the code from your PVADeals dashboard, where it appears as soon as it arrives.
PVADeals numbers receive SMS only. If an eligible number receives no SMS during the rental, its cost comes back to your balance automatically as store credit.
A phone number doesn’t replace ID verification
Freecash is clear that it needs your ID before it pays: “we cannot legally make payments to any users before verifying their ID.” ID checks run through Veriff with a government ID and a selfie, the ID must belong to you, and “it’s not possible to bypass the ID verification check provided by our partners at Veriff.”
So a second number only keeps your personal mobile private. Your identity, your age and your region still have to be real.
Contacting Freecash
Freecash has no phone line: “You cannot contact our Support Team over the phone, as we operate around the globe, rather than from a single location.” Use Live Chat (Freecash’s recommendation), email support@freecash.com, or open a support ticket for an offer you completed more than 48 hours ago.
Keep your personal number private
A long-term non-VoIP number from PVADeals gives Freecash a mobile number that isn’t your personal one. See the prices below, or read our guides to Swagbucks phone verification and VoIP vs non-VoIP numbers.
